Boat Maneuvering Safety Course
Course Objective :
This course is designed to introduce a boater to legal and safe boating
practices. It applies to all who use boat, whether as skipper or as someone simply along for the fun. It is primarily designed to address the requirements of smaller recreational vessels, although some mention of larger vessels does appear. It is also used as a starting point in boating education.
Targets
- To identify parts of a boat
- To be acquainted with navigational rules
- To be acquainted with man-overboard rules
- To have knowledge of life saving appliances
